DSLhome

DSLHome is an initiative of the DSL Forum that aims to use DSL technology in home networks and in online activities for the whole family. In addition to a high data rate, the main focus is on security.

The DSLHome initiative offers a framework that takes these aspects into account. Strategic approaches for DSLHome include DSL processes with higher data rates such as ADSL2+ ADSL2+, VDSL, VDSL2 and SHDSL. The DSL processes mentioned meet a wide variety of requirements in terms of data rates and the distances that can be bridged. In addition, a number of standards have been incorporated into the interoperability of customer equipment and into improvements to the architecture. The connection of subscriber terminals and their interfaces as well as network management are further topics of the DSLHome initiative, which is also dedicated to the topic of hybrid networks consisting of wired and wireless networks.
