very high density cable interconnect (VHDCI)
The VHDCI connector (Very High Density Cable Interconnect) is a 68- pin space-saving flat connector with high contact density, which is also available with 36 contacts.
It has an asymmetrical design like the Sub-D connector, two rows of contacts and can be used with round and flat cables. The VHDCI connector is mainly used with LVD(Low Voltage Differential) cables on controller boards, but also for an external PCI Express.
