technical advisory group (IEEE) (TAG)

The term Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is used at IEEE. It is a committee of the IEEE that has the task of providing other IEEE committees with general recommendations and technical guidance.

Under IEEE 802 there is the Broadband Technical Advisory Group (BTAG) under 802 .7, the Coexistence Technical Advisory Group( CTAG) under 802. 19, the Fiber Optic Technical Advisory Group (FOTAG) under 802 .8 and the Radio Regulatory Technical Advisory Group ( RRTAG) under 802.18.
