service creation environment point (IN) (SCEP)

The Service Creation Environment Point (SCEP) is the service creation system in intelligent networks( IN).

The SCEP is a Physical Entity( PE) and is located on the Physical Plane( PP), which is the lowest layer of the IN layer model. It is used to create new services in networks where the services are not specified by the vendor. The SCEP is a workstation where Service Independent Building Blocks( SIB) are strung together to form new services and Service Features( SF).
