over optimization penalty (SEO) (OOP)

Over Optimization Penalty(OOP) means activities in search engine optimization that consistently exploit all permitted and borderline possibilities for optimizing the website in terms of indexing in the results pages.

In order to be able to penalize such websites, Google has developed a special crawler that finds over-optimized websites.

Such over-optimized procedures include too high keyword density, as well as the ratio between commercial keywords and brand keywords, over-ambitious link texts and Internet addresses( URL). If the crawlers detect over-ambitious optimizations, then the corresponding web pages are placed further back in the results pages.
