optical telecommunications outlet (FITH) (OTO)

An optical outlet (OAD) or optical subscriber interface( TS) is a connection component in optical home networks such as Fiber in the Home( FITH).

At the optical subscriber interface, the indoor cable is terminated with the optical network termination( ONT). This is where the building's star-shaped cabling ends with optical fibers, usually polymer fibers. From the optical junction box, an optical connection cable goes to the subscriber terminal, customer premises equipment ( CPE).
