network layer reachability information (NLRI)

The Border Gateway Protocol(BGP) sends update information for routing by means of NLRI information (Network Layer Reachability Information) in which the route is described. In this context, NLRI acts like a prefix. One or more of these NLRI prefixes are included in the update data together with the attributes of the route.
