most recently used (cache) (MRU)
Most Recently Used (MRU) is a strategy used to manage buffers and caches.
The MRU cache algorithm presents a list of items or pages that have been used most recently. This allows the user to access frequently used items or domain names in the web browser more quickly.
The MRU feature is also supported by the Windowsoperating system and Microsoft Word. In contrast to the recently used entries, there are the rarely used ones, the Least Frequently Used( LFU), Least Recently Used( LRU) and the Not Recently Used( NRU).
