A mixed-mode CD contains both audio tracks according to CD-DA and data tracks of the CD-ROM. The first track is always a data track according to the ISO file system, the subsequent tracks are audio tracks. An audio CD player can therefore not play the first track of such a compact disc (CD). A mixed modeCD standardised according to the Blue Book is the CD-Extra.
