high throughput (HT)

High Throughput (HT) is a technology developed for WLANs according to 802.11n with which the throughput is significantly increased compared to other WLANs. High Throughput works on the one hand with Block Acknowledgement ( BA), which acknowledges entire data blocks and thus improves the media access procedure, and on the other hand with Reduced Interframe Space ( RIFS), which increases efficiency by shortening the interframe space.
