horizontal tabulation (HT)

Horizontal Tabulation (HT) is a format control character that moves the print head or the cursor to the next predefined position in the line being processed. Horizontal Tabulation is one of the six format control characters and has the position 09(H) resp. 009 (dec.) in the ASCII character set.
