A High Current Temperature Fuse
(HCTF) is a power component. It is a fuse that interrupts the flow of current when a predetermined temperature is exceeded.
The operating temperature of high current temperature fuse is at temperature ranges up to 160 °C. At temperatures of 230 °C they switch off the circuit. The current carrying capacity of such a thermal fuse depends on the mounting and environmental conditions. HCTF fuses can be made of metallic and ceramic materials. Their cold resistance is only a few tenths of anohm
. HCTF fuses are used in power electronics and automotive technology.
