Government to Business (G2B) characterizes all interactive processes that take place online between government agencies, institutions, authorities and companies. This can involve electronic registrations, enquiries, tax notices, submissions and directories
that businesses have to a public authority or wish to view. The extensive range of G2B services includes job placement, vehicle registers, tendering regulations and procurement rules, customs regulations for import and export, central statistics, business support programmes, award procedures, allocation of tax numbers, energy and communications market regulations and much more.
Many of these e-services are free of charge, while others, such as access to trade registers, are subject to a charge. When it comes to communication between public authorities and citizens, we speak of Government to Citizen (G2C), and when it comes to communication between government agencies, offices and authorities, we speak of Government to Government (G2G).
