Footer translates to footer or footnote. On websites, the footer is the bottom webpage area that is typically used for legally required information. So for the name of the company, the imprint, the copyright and the general terms and conditions ( GTC).

There are websites that use this area for navigation links, such as contact or help functions. These links are called footer links.
