dual band LNB
Satellitetransponders broadcast analog television and digital TV on several channels. The frequencies from 10.7 GHz to 11.7 GHz are reserved for analog TV, and the frequencies from 11.7 GHz and 12.75 GHz are reserved for digital TV.
Normal LNBs are only suitable for the low band, the lower frequency range; universal LNBs or dual-band LNBs, on the other hand, cover both frequency ranges. Such LNBs are also called digital suitable. The term digital refers to the reception range for digital TV.
