directory information shadowing protocol (DISP)

The Directory Information Shadowing Protocol (DISP) is one of three protocols specified for X.500 by the then CCITT, now the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The DISP protocol is used to copy directory information between servers in X.500 systems. The other two protocols are the Directory Access Protocol (DAP) and the Directory Service Protocol (DSP).
