control point (CP)

In SystemNetwork Architecture ( SNA), the Control Point (CP) is an element that identifies APPN network components from Physical UnitPU 2.1, manages resources, and supports service to other facilities. In Advanced Peer to Peer Networking (APPN), the Control Points can communicate with neighboring Control Points through a CP-to-CP session.
