compact disc graphic (CD-G)

This CD variant of a compact disc, the Compact Disc Graphic (CD-G), is a conventional audio CD on which graphic components are stored in addition to audio. The graphics are written with special codes and stored on the CD-G in pixel format. Playback is only possible with a special CD player. The usefulness of this format is questionable.
