cell radio network temporary identity (C-RNTI)
The CellRadio Network Temporary Identity (C-RNTI) is a 16-bitidentification number temporarily assigned in UMTS. This number can be used to uniquely identify a mobile phone within a radio cell. When switching from one radio cell to another, the subscriber is assigned a new C-RNTI. The C-RNTI is used to assign data packets to the correct mobile device.
