byte per second (Bps)

Byte per second (Bps or B/s) is the unit of measurement for transmission speed. Byte per second refers to 8 bits per second. B/s or Bps are usually associated with a prefix representing the power of ten, i.e. kilobytes per second (kB/s or kBps), megabytes per second( MB/s or MBps) or as gigabytes per second( GB/s or GBps).
