blue book
The specifications of the standardized compact discs(CD) are defined in color-coded CD books.
Blue Book is a standard for CD-ROMs that was introduced in 1996. This format was standardized to prevent misinterpretation of recorded data by audio CD players, as can occur with mixed- mode CDs.
Blue Book works with several sessions in the so-called multsession mode, where the first track contains only audio information for the audio CD player. Only this track corresponds to the Red Book format, the following ones correspond to CD-ROM/XA and contain data stored according to ISO 9660. In addition, other tracks are possible, such as hybrid tracks and tacks for CD-I.
