automatic response system (ARS)

An Automated Response System (ARS) is an electronic system that automatically responds to telephone or electronic inquiries.

Such ARS systems are used in companies and call centers to answer customer inquiries immediately. In the case of electronic e-mail inquiries, the Automated Response System automatically sends a short message to the inquirer, from which he can see that his inquiry is being processed and that he will receive a detailed response in a few hours or days.

The advantage of the automatic response is that the office to which the request is addressed does not have to deal with the request immediately with each incoming e-mail, that in case of absence or lack of time, the customer is informed that the request has been received, which contributes to the improvement of the customer relationship. The automatic responses are marked as such.
