ZigBee health care (ZHC)

ZigBeeHealth Care (ZHC) is a ZigBee profile of ZigBee Pro under ZigBee 3.0. It is a ZigBee Device Object(ZDO), a device profile for health monitoring of non-critical illness, chronic condition, non-age related and general health conditions, wellness and fitness.

For ZigBee Health Care, there are various health care products through which a direct connection can be made to the primary care physician or hospital. Through this connection, the doctors or nurses can monitor the health condition of the patient who is at home. Through this telemedicine, elderly and chronically ill patients can be continuously monitored, similar to Ambient Assisted Living( AAL). If the patient exceeds set limits, an alarm is triggered and the emergency physician can provide appropriate on-site assistance.
