Monopoly transmission path

In Germany, monopoly transmission paths are leased lines that implement point-to-point connections. Since 1994, monopoly transmission paths have also been referred to as standard le ased lines and include analog and digital transmission paths.

The technical specifications and the conditions of use for monopoly lines were set by the Federal Minister of Posts and Telecommunications until the 1990s. Some standard fixed links with analogue interfaces and eleven with digital interfaces are still described. The bandwidths for the analog monopole transmission paths range from 3.1 kHz to 446 MHz, and the transmission speeds for the digital monopole transmission paths range from 64 kbit/s to 155 Mbit/s. The bit error rate is 10exp-5.
