Monopoly transmission path

In Germany, monopoly transmission paths are fixed links that implement point-to-point connections. Since 1994, monopoly transmission paths have also been referred to as standard le ased lines and include analog and digital transmission paths.

The technical specifications and conditions of use for monopoly lines were defined by the Federal Minister of Posts and Telecommunications until the 1990s. Some standard fixed links with analog interfaces and eleven with digitalinterfaces are still described. The bandwidths for the analog monopole transmission paths range from 3.1 kHz to 446 MHz, and the transmission speeds for the digital monopole transmission paths range from 64 kbit/s to 155 Mbit/s. The bit error rate is `10^-5`.
