Konnex-RF

Konnex-RF(KNX-RF) is the radio extension of the Konnex bus. This wireless building bus is used for the control of buildings, e.g. for the transmission of meter data.

Konnex-RF uses the frequency range of868 MHz with a bandwidth of 200 kHz and operates with a data rate of 16.4 kbit/s. The user data is transmitted in the form of a data string. During transmission, the user data is encoded in Manchester coding and modulated with frequency shift ke ying( FSK). The user data is combined into data blocks of a maximum of 16 bytes, and each data block ischecked with cyclic block checking(CRC).

Konnex-RF is identical on the physical layer to the wireless meter bus( M-Bus) in S operating mode (S-Mode).
