To prevent market-specific adaptations in digital television, the International Telecommunication Union( ITU) has established J.202, a standard that unifies the content offered by digital television. The aim is to ensure that digital television can be used interactively and across platforms everywhere, regardless of national standards. With the ITU standard J.202, texts, graphics and statistics can be inserted into the television.
