The 4.5 generation (4.5G) is the predecessor generation of the 5th generation (5G). It is represented by Long Term Evolution Advanced( LTE-A) with data rates of up to 1 Gbit/s and by the increasing networking of objects. The keywords for this generation are Internet of Things( IoT) and Industry 4.0. They are realized via the high transmission capacity with the enormous data rates and the lower latency times.
