universal international freephone number (ITU) (UIFN)

For international toll freephone services (UIFN), the International Telecommunication Union(ITU) has defined the service code +800. This country code is followed by an eight- digit call number, so that the entire UIFN number has 12 digits: +800 xx xx xx. The plus sign stands for the traffic separation digit and is 00 in Germany. In addition, there is a definition for a 12-digit call number extension.
