thermoelectric cooler (TEC)

A thermoelectric cooler, Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC), is a small cooling device based on the Peltier effect.

The Peltier effect occurs when two conductors are made of different materials and acts like a heat pump. Peltier elements can be used for cooling or heating depending on the current flow. Thermoelectric coolers are extremely small cooling elements that enable precise thermal control of individual components and temperature-critical modules and devices.
