shift in (SI)

Shift In (SI) is a control character for code expansion from the ASCII code, which is used in conjunction with Shift Out (SO) and terminates the character expansion. The subsequent bit combinations have their normal meaning again. The SI control character occupies position 0F (hex.) or 015 (dec.) in the ASCII character set.
