secure SNMP

In 1992, a proposal for a Secure SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) was submitted to the Internet Engineering Task Force ( IETF). The central basis is a party MIB (Management Information Base), which specifies which components can exchange SNMP messages with each other and in what way. The use of the DES algorithm is made mandatory. The most important elements of Secure SNMP have been merged into SNMPv2.
