reverse charging (ISDN) (REV)

Reverse charging (REV) is a feature of switched communications, especially data packet networks. It is a feature of digital networks for the billing of calls. In reverse charging, the opposite cost assumption, the dialed destination connection assumes the traffic charges. Reverse charging is described in ITU-T Recommendation Q.736.3.
