Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) is a term used by the European regulatory institutions for a wireless radio network. The best-known radio network is WLAN802.11, which is standardized by IEEE. In addition, there are various others, which, however, do not have too much market significance. In this context, the HIPERLAN of ETSI should be mentioned.
