peer group (PG)

In communications engineering, a peer group (PG) is a set of logical nodes that are grouped together to form a routing hierarchy. PNNI Topology State Elements ( PTSE) are exchanged among the group members. Peer groups are always structured hierarchically to prevent excessive traffic from PNNI Topology State Packets ( PTSP).
