organization for data exchange by teletransmission in Europe (ODETTE)

The Organization for Data Exchange by Teletransmission in Europe (ODETTE) is a non-profit organization composed of automotive industry stakeholders and associations that addresses automotive electronic technology issues.

Its goal is to develop recommendations and tools worldwide that unify and improve the flow of information of goods, services and product data for the entire supply chain throughout the product lifecycle. This includes e-business and supply chain management( SCM).

Among other things, ODETTE has released a protocol for EDIdata transfer that is used by the automotive and supplier industries. It was published as ODETTE File Transfer Protocol in September 1997 as RFC 2204.
