no-epoxy no-polish (NENP)

The NENP (No-Epoxy No-Polish) connector, also known as a crimp splice, is an optical fiber connection that does not use epoxy glue and does not require polishing of the two optical fibers. NENP connectors can be installed very quickly and offer particular advantages when working in the field. They are prepared FO connectors where the fiber of the FO connector is connected to the field fiber via the NENP splice. Indexpaste is used for the actual connection.
