multi jet modeling (3d printing) (MJM)
Multi-Jet Modeling (MJM) is a 3D printing technique that works with liquid materials.
In terms of its mode of operation, an MJM printer is comparable to an inkjet printer, from whose print head nozzles liquid, light-sensitive plastic acrylic photopolymer is injected, which quickly solidifies and is cured with UV light. The print head can be moved in two axes. A material with a low melting temperature is used as the carrier material, which is removed after prototyping. MJM printers equipped with multiple print heads can produce 3D prints with distinctive material combinations or in different colors.
Multi-jet modeling technology is extremely precise and accurate and has a high surface finish. The resolution is below 500 µm.
