micro PDF417
The Micro-PDF417 code is a more compact variant of the 2D code PDF417, which is characterized by a more efficient use of space and can comprise up to 150 bytes. The Micro-PDF417 code is used in the GS1 DataBar, Global Standard One (GS1).
In the Micro-PDF417 code, the characters are more compact than in the PDF417; the narrowest bar ratio specified in the X direction is between 1:2 and 1:5, as is the height ratio of the bars, although the size ratio of 1:3 is most often used. In the Micro-PDF417 code, the characters and digits are represented in up to 44 interleaved bar codes. Up to 250 characters, 150 binary characters and 366 digits are possible.
Bar codes that are arranged in several lines one below the other are called stacked codes.
