interpersonal messaging system (X.400) (IPMS)

Interpersonal MessagingSystem (IPMS) is a messaging service in X.400 between people. The IPMS service is the actual electronic mail. With the Interpersonal Messaging Service, messages with different formats, with texts, graphics or speech can be carried and converted. The service for MHS systems initiated by the International Telecommunication Union( ITU) is based on the User Agent Layer( UAL).
