interim interswitch signalling protocol (ATM) (IISP)

Interim Interswitch Signalling Protocol (IISP) is known as Private Network to Tetwork Interface(PNNI) Phase 0 for ATM routing and is based on a static routing table. Routing is performed from hop to hop.

The Interim Interswitch Signalling Protocol is a specification of the Inernational Telecommunication Union( ITU-T). It was previously called PNNI Phase 0 and was a transitional solution until PNNI Phase 1.
