field programmable RF (FPRF)

The term Field Programmable RF Transceiver (FPRF) stands for RF chips that cover multiple frequency ranges and multiple standards. It is a key technology with which multi-range frequency bands are managed in MIMO technology. The concept refers to radio frequency (RF) and is based on Field Programmable Gate Arrays( FPGA).

FPRF chips cover extremely wide frequency ranges, which can be between several hundred megahertz (300 MHz) and several gigahertz (3.8 GHz). The programmable, modulatable bandwidth can range from 1 MHz to 30 MHz and support both time division duplex( TDD) and frequency division duplex( FDD). FPRF chips can also be used in Wideband Code Division Multiple Access(WCDMA), Long Term Evolution( LTE), HSDPA and WiMAX.
