diagnostic and monitoring protocol (DMP)

The Diagnostic and Monitoring Protocol(DMP) belongs to the NetBIOSFrame Protocols. As the name indicates, it is concerned with the transmission of diagnostic information, such as monitoring information and status information, which is transmitted packaged in data packets. This status information includes, among other things, the number of data packets sent, received correctly and received with errors. The function of Diagnostic and Monitoring Protocol (DMP) is comparable to that of SNMP with TCP/ IP.
