dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH)

UMTS has two uplink channels, the Dedicated Physical Control Channel (DPCCH) and the Dedicated Physical Data Channel (DPDCH), whereby the DPCCH channel is used to transmit control information from the user equipment to the radio base station ( BTS). The DPCCH channel always has a spreading factor of 256 on code 0.
