The CLTP protocol is a connectionless transport protocol, equivalent to the UDP protocol.

The Connectionless Transport Protocol (CLTP) is a network layerOSI protocol and provides end-to-end connections with error detection, but no flow control. It is standardized according to ISO 8602. RFC 1240 describes options for transmitting connectionless OSI transport services with the User Datagram Protocol (UDP).
