comité consultatif international des radiocommunications (CCIR)

The CCIR is a permanent body of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) dealing with the radio service. Following the reform of the ITU, the CCIR was merged with the IFBR. The functions of CCIR are carried out by the radio technical commissions of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), ITU-R. The task is to manage the scarce radio frequencies for terrestrial applications for fixed and mobile radio services.
