channel access code (Bluetooth) (CAC)

In the Bluetooth frame, an access code is sent as the first data field, which comprises 68/72 bits. There are three types of access codes: the Channel Access Code( CAC), the Device Access Code( DAC) and the Inquiry Access Code( IAC).

The Channel Access Code comprises 72 bits and is derived from the LAN Access Profile( LAP) of the master. It is used to identify the associated piconet and establishes the connection between two Bluetooth devices.
