attribute registration authority (X.400) (ARA)

The Attribute Registration Authority (ARA) is an organization responsible for registering and assigning attributes. The ARA-Authority is responsible for confirmingauthorization and delegating requests to increase security.

Security attributes for X.509 or X.400 MHS systems are requested from the Attribute Authority( AA) via the ARA Authority.
