administrative unit group (AUG)

An Administrative Unit Group (AUG) represents the aggregation of one or more Administative Units ( AU) and occupies a fixed position in an STM payload. Such an AUG can consist of three AU-3 or of a single AU-4. Similar to the Tributary Unit Group (TUG), the AUG gathers one or more Administrative Units and loads them into a fixed position of the payload in the STM frame. When the Administrative Unit Group is formed from Administrative Units, no overhead is added.
