PC100 Synchronous Dynamic RAM (SDRAM) has been specified in detail by Intel and provided with guidelines so that memory latches from other memory manufacturers are fully compatible.

The PC100 SDRAM has 168 contact pins, an access time of 8 ns, a burst cycle of 4-1-1, a clock frequency of 100 MHz, a data transfer rate of800 MB/s and is powered by 3.3 V (3V3).
